Have many churches become Pharisee like?

Not in terms of hypocrisy but in terms of focus. For example for many churches have become entirely focused on ity. Yes it's a sin but so is Lying stealing lusting saying gods name in vain it feels to me since Jesus never mentioned it that there are more important issues such as the poor, the sick, and the mourning. Many of us go to church every sunday "for fellowship" we rush for the best parkins and seats and we sit and listen for 1-2 hrs wouldn't it be better to use that time to work at soup kitchen or volunteer at a hospital. What if all the churches instead of having service went out and helped others for an hour go volunteer at a hospital help your neighbor fix his roof, read to the elderly, comfort a widow. Jesus said when you help one of my followers you are helping me. wouldn't that be closer to Jesus' message of loving god and your neighbor instead of listening to some guy talk about his interpretation of the bible. I feel like many become pastors to make a living, they tell us we have to go to church because otherwise the infrastructure dies.when we go to church I feel like we are putting our light under a lamp am I wrong?
