What do Muslims believe the age of the earth is?

Do you go with the scientists that say its in the billions of years or do you think the age is in the thousands? Some Christians that go with the literal interpretation of the Bible think the radio carbon dating system is flawed and the earth was actually created ten thousand years ago. Could they be right?
